Members of a Cincinnati church are helping their community by learning what it feels like to be hungry.

The Crossroads Community Church members ate only rice and beans for a week last month, and donated the money they saved on food.

Church members raised more than $375,000 for the Cincinnati public pools, Strives Preschool Promise, and Compassion International.
